Southern Maine String Camp offers a rich and rewarding musical experience with

all the benefits of a traditional Maine summer camp.

When rehearsals have finished, we always has plenty of fun games and events planned for campers to choose from. The waterfront is run by Red Cross certified staff and we also offer kayaking and canoeing, basketball, tennis and field sports.

All Resident campers live in cabins under the supervision of an experienced counselor who is also an accomplished musician and educator. The bath houses have been recently renovated.

Meals are served family style in the historic Dining Hall. The food is fresh and healthy and vegetarian options are offered at every meal. Our chef is skilled at accommodating special dietary needs.

Evening concerts by the faculty bring our busy days to a close. These performances begin at 7PM, and are free and open to the public. Before bedtime, we finish with one last all-camp activity such as a campfire, talent show or dance.
