Laura Swarce is a cellist from Middleboro, MA. She studied cello with Jacques Lee Wood at the University of New Hampshire and earned her B.M. in Pre-Teaching (Music Education) and M.Ed. in Secondary Education. Laura now lives in the New Hampshire seacoast area and teaches kindergarten through 8th-grade music. She also runs the after-school band and chorus program for students in 4th through 8th grade. 

Outside of public school teaching, she performs in various groups around the seacoast area and teaches private lessons. Laura works closely with the New Hampshire Music Educators Association and has been a guest conductor for Stringfest as part of the NH American String Teachers Association. 

Laura has been working at camp since 2021 and is so excited to be back for another summer. Her favorite part of camp is the campfire and seeing her SMSC family!
