Matt Harding is an upright bassist from Chester, New Hampshire. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Music Education with a jazz studies concentration from the University of Southern Maine in Spring of 2024. His first year at Southern Maine String Camp, Matt worked as a lead counselor for his town’s recreation department summer program from 2018-2023 and is very excited to join a new staff of counselors and get to work with a group of talented young musicians! 

Matt enjoys frequently gigging in the jazz and musical theater genres and playing and performing classical, rock, and indie music on the side. When he’s not playing music Matt can be found with his girlfriend Jordan watching a movie, playing video games, or hiking.
